Beaune is the capital of the wine-producing region of Burgundy, as well as the most extensive communal AOC appellation in the Côte d'Or. Red wine production covers an area of 362.74 ha, including 281.49 ha of Premiers Crus, while white wines cover 48.96 ha, including 36.06 ha of Premiers Crus. Most of the vineyards are located on steep slopes, with the Beaune appellation vineyards at the bottom, facing East to South, where the soil is a mixture of limestone and clay.
A dark garnet colour, an intense nose marked by a grilled reduction and smoky notes. Hints of wild and gariguette strawberries. A rich, fleshy and very f ruity palate. A wine with a g reat a geing potential. Use a decanter if you want to drink it young.
