Quinta do Crasto LBV is dark ruby in colour with red fruit aromas and good concentration and length on the palate. This wine is bottled unfiltered. This allows the wine to maintain its characteristics and evolve throughout the years. Decanting is recommended.
Quinta do Crasto Colheita is an old Tawny produced from a single year with grapes coming exclusively from the oldest vineyards of Quinta do Crasto. Dark ruby colored, it offers a complex bouquet of cloves, cinnamon, tobacco and black cherries. On the palate, layers of ripe red fruits are combined with notes of dark chocolate and slight anise leading to an amazingly long finish.
The grapes used to make our Vintage Ports come from our best old vines. They are then foot trodden in old stone tanks called “lagares”. Our Vintage Ports are bottled unfiltered after maturing for two years in large Portuguese oak vats. When young they are usually a very dark ruby in color almost opaque with intense aromas of very ripe fruit. Combining in highly complex wines that have great longevity.
